• What is .CM? Why should I register a .CM?
  .CM is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Cameroon. The .CM registry has previously only allowed registrations under .CO.CM, .COM.CM and .NET.CM, meaning this is your chance to register a second level .CM domain name. Although best known for being just one letter and keystroke away from a few of the most highly recognizable domains, .CM provides many potential benefits:

• Can anyone register a .CM name?
  Yes! There are no residency requirements for .CM names. You can live anywhere in the world and register a .CM domain.
• When can I submit my Pre-Order?
  The .CM Pre-Order Landrush is open for the general public to submit Pre-Orders starting Wednesday, July 15th and will close on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 1:00pm (PT). The general public can register .CM domains starting Wednesday, August 26, 2009 on a first come, first served basis for those names that were not pre-ordered during the Landrush period.
• How much does my Pre-Order cost?
  The cost of submitting your Pre-Order varies by the domain name provider who submitted your Pre-Order. NameJet does NOT charge any fees for submitting your Pre-Orders. If you submitted your Pre-Order through another domain name provider, please see your domain name provider about their fees.
• What is the .CM Landrush registration process?
  The .CM registry will open the Landrush starting July 15, 2009 during which all Pre-Orders will be subject to a Landrush registration fee for a minimum registration period of 2 years. Pre-orders will be accepted at NameJet until Sunday August 23, 2009 at 1:00pm (PT). If there is more than one Pre-Order per domain, the domain will go into an auction process that will commence shortly after the end of the Landrush period. Domains that receive only one Pre-Order will not go to auction and be provisioned by the .CM registry directly to your domain name provider.
• Can I Pre-Order .CM domains for more than 2-years?
  No, all registrations are for a 2-year commitment during the Landrush period. Additional years can be added after the initial registration is complete, please see your domain name provider for further details.
• What happens if more than one person bids on a .CM domain?
  At the close of Landrush, if there is more than one bid per domain, the domain will go into an auction process at NameJet that will commence shortly after the end of the Landrush period. You will receive an email with further details about the exact start and close times. Details will also be available from within your NameJet account for all auctions that you are a participant.
• When does the Landrush auction happen?
  The Pre-Order Landrush period will end on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 1:00 pm (PT). The first auctions will start on Friday, August 28, 2009 and continue on a schedule that will be communicated via email with the participants in those auctions. Each auction will be 3 days in length.
• How will I know if I won my Pre-Order? When can I manage my .CM domain?
  Upon successful payment to NameJet for your winning bid, you will receive an order confirmation email. Please contact your domain name provider who submitted your Pre-Order for further information on managing your domain(s) after your payment has been received by NameJet.
• How much does it cost to Pre-Order a .CM?
  When you submit your Pre-Order directly through NameJet there is no charge! If the domain that you pre-ordered goes to auction and you win that auction, you will pay the winning bid amount to NameJet. The Landrush 2-year registration fee will be charged by the sponsoring registrar plus any additional fees charged by your domain name provider.
• What fees will I be charged if I am the winning bidder?
  You will only pay NameJet for the final winning bid amount; no additional fees are associated with your bid(s). Your Landrush 2-yr registration fee will be charged by your domain name provider. Please contact your domain name provider for further details.
